SAFE ENVIRONMENT

Safe Environment/Virtus Program:  St. Mary of the Angels Parish is committed to ensuring a safe environment for our children and vulnerable adults and for upholding the “National Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People.”

All Volunteers who serve at Masses (Ushers, Lectors, Sacristans, Eucharistic Ministers, Choir) and all parish office, Food Pantry and religious education volunteers must undergo a background screening and complete VIRTUS online training.

The parish must receive clearance notification from the Diocese of Charleston prior to a volunteer beginning service.
